Sport for fun

Competitive sport is an essential element for a complete and rounded education.

At Sport Explosion we believe that positive engagement in sport at an early age can lead to the lifelong enjoyment of sport, so we encourage children of all ages and abilities to enjoy sport for fun, fitness, and social well-being in a safe and secure environment.

Based in Bristol all our qualified coaches are CRB checked.

Sport Explosion supervise sports and physical activities for children in a collaborative, inclusive and structured way, helping children to develop key co-ordination, and team-building skills through qualified, friendly, CRB- checked (Criminal Record Bureau) coaches.

Sport Explosion provides sportskills and coaching services to primary schools.

Sport Explosion facilitate PPA (Planning Preparation and Assessment) time within the National Curriculum and sports-focussed afterschool sessions. Sport Explosion can help any child to higher sporting attainment, and give them the opportunity to link into sports clubs.

I have been very impressed with the quality of coaching in a range of sports provided by Sport Explosion. Ian Davis one of their coaches develops excellent relationships with all the children and they thoroughly enjoy his lessons as they are fun, active and fully participatory.

Mr Justin Hoye, Headmaster, St John's Primary School.

Ian Davis of Sport Explosion has been running an all girls tag rugby club each winter and a cricket club over the summer months at The Red Maids' Junior School. They are immensely popular and successful clubs and the girls really look forward to their sessions each week. The clubs are open to all and each girl develops her skill level under Ian's expert coaching. Ian's great enthusiasm for rugby and cricket is infectious and the girls really build up a sense of camaraderie within the clubs. His clubs have been a very welcomed addition to our extra-curricular programme.

Mrs Maggie Elbooke, Director of Studies, The Red Maids'Junior School.

Ian Davis of Sport Explosion has come into Westbury Park Primary School to work with the children here on a number of occasions. I have been particularly impressed with the high quality sessions that Ian has planned and delivered in school and I have no hesitation in recommending him for delivery of P.E. lessons to primary school children in the future. Ian has a very natural manner with the children and ensures each and every child (with a range of abilities) is catered for and included within his lesson. His enthusiasm and passion for the subject allow all the participants to improve their skills and knowledge and above all, have lots of fun!

Mr Will Ewens, P.E. Co-ordinator, Westbury Park Primary School.
